Digital Missions Project

THE MISSIONARIES OF THE DIGITAL WORLD

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit this page. Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Keven Newsome–you may have interacted with me online as RetroZyro or just Zyro. I am a worship pastor, author, and theologian from Camden, South Carolina, where I serve at Malvern Hill Baptist Church.

I am currently working on my Doctorate of Ministry from Anderson University. You are here because I would like to ask you to participate in my dissertation project. Most likely, I have already been following and/or watching you online.

As you are well aware, the digital mission space is in desperate need of more digital missionaries. Whether you approach it as a gamer or other content creator, you recognize the ministry needs of the Twitch/Discord communities and are trying to be a Gospel influence there.

I would like to study and research you, even as I venture into participating in this mission work myself.

Over the course of a year, I would like to track your mission work. I would ask you to communicate with me on a regular basis, to report the number of Gospel conversations and salvations you have. I’d also like to talk with you in depth about your mission strategies and the things you find that work or don’t work.

My end goal would be to evaluate effective digital mission approaches in order to create a primer for churches to support and commission digital missionaries.

If you would be willing to participate in this study, please take a moment to fill out the form below. The information needed for this form is minimal. I will reach out to you at some point in order to setup an initial meeting where I will ask for more details about you and your ministry. I am interested only in those who would call what they do ministry or missions. If this is not how you would describe yourself, please contact me via Discord or email at kevennewsome@gmail.com and let me know that you are declining my invitation.

Thanks and God bless!
